
Our Story
Sanjeevini Environment Protection Society (SEPS), formerly known as Sanjeevini NGO, is a registered community-based organization under the Societies Registration Act.
Founded in 1998, SEPS works with tribal and rural communities in the Dumbriguda, Anandapuram, and Chinagadili Mandals of Visakhapatnam district in the Eastern Ghats region.
Over the years, SEPS has become a trusted grassroots organization supporting over 1,500 tribal families (around 13,000 people) across several villages.




Through community mobilization, training programs, and partnerships with research institutions and NGOs, SEPS promotes:

Indigenous seed preservation
Forest protection
Tribal livelihoods
Education and environmental awareness
Our work combines traditional tribal knowledge with modern ecological practices to create long-term sustainable development.

Leadership
Founder – P. Devullu
P. Devullu is a respected tribal agriculture specialist from Killoguda village in the Eastern Ghats.
He has dedicated his life to:
Preserving indigenous seed varieties
Promoting natural farming among tribal farmers
Strengthening tribal cooperatives and livelihoods
Protecting biodiversity in the Eastern Ghats
His seed conservation efforts have earned national and state-level recognition.
Director – Dr. Varalakshmi
Dr. Varalakshmi plays a vital role in community mobilization, women empowerment, and program coordination. She has worked extensively with tribal women farmers and youth to promote sustainable agriculture and community leadership.
